License Ladies deadline nears for 1978 sticker
Motorists in the L through Z alphabet should visit the Elyria Auto License Bureau to display a 1978 validation sticker by midnight May 31. Deputy registrar Bill Ward said sales are down vs last year but expect longer lines as the deadline approaches. The office at 248 Second St. will be open 8 am to 2 pm Saturday and 8 am to 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday, closed Sunday and Monday for the holiday weekend. Ward noted fewer people use evening hours despite the crunch ahead.
