Arcadia Man Commuted Life A 176 Mile Round Trip
Robert Edgar, a long time Arcadia resident, commutes 176 miles daily to St Louis for his insurance job aboard the Texas Eagle. He spends 24 to 30 hours weekly on the train, preferring the journey to drive and noting his sons’ upbringing in the community where his great grandfather settled in 1866. Edgar rents, or owns, a 77 acre wooded home site with nine acres of lawn in Arcadia Valley, opposite the mountain scenery he often reviews.
