Prenatal vitamins linked to lower autism risk
UC Davis researchers report women who did not take prenatal vitamins before and during early pregnancy had double the odds of a child with autism. The study, involving about 700 families, also found strong links with MTHFR and COMT gene variants increasing risk, especially when vitamins were not used.
