Elyria Police Log Highlights May 24 25 Incidents
A sequence of incidents includes thefts from vehicles at multiple locations such as 400 block Loyola am and Home Depot at 150 Market Drive, assaults at South Park Apartments, domestic disputes, Wang warrants from Elyria Municipal Court for Amanda Boreman and Kevin Jordan, and a Grand Marquis theft reported on 900 block Lake Ave. Also noted are underage drinking charges and a Sheffield Township theft from vehicle on 700 block Glen Oaks Apartment.

Commission delays ruling over election dispute
The Ohio Elections Commission postponed a vote on settling a six year dispute over attack ads in Justice Alice Robie Resnick’s 2000 re election bid. Citizens for a Strong Ohio, backed by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, ran ads accusing Resnick and was ruled a political action committee violating election law.

Heather Wyatt, formerly a foster child, was adopted by Lorain residents and recognized at a luncheon with eight other local students aged 9 to 18. The Chronicle Telegram and EMH Regional Medical Center sponsor the event to reward responsibility, kindness, and perseverance. Each honoree received a $25 gift certificate.
