Genevieve Tarnoske, seventh grade student at Eaton school, was accidentally left off the county Blue Ribbon spellers list. She earned a blue ribbon for correctly spelling all words in her grade during the county contest.
Elyria library announces new acquisitions this week with a list of General works including The Complete Book of Dreams and A History of the Business Man, along with fiction titles such as The Mortal Storm and The Time of Change. Graduation exercises will follow at the high school auditorium, with names Ethel Arndt and others in the class roster.
Akron leader Henry J. Berrodin will deliver the memorial address at Elyria Belle No. 431's annual lodge of sorrow. The event, open to members families and friends, honors members who died in the past year and follows the lodge year initiation ceremony introducing the State and Grand Aerie Class.
