Special Meeting Called by Elyria VFW
The Elyria VFW post 1079 held a large special meeting at V FLOW Hall chaired by Commander Thomas Michalls. Poppy Day plans were finalized, uniforms urged, and delegates James Powell Joseph Mulroy Norman M Bradley were chosen with Harold Hamilton and Charles French as alternates to attend Cedar Point encampment June 28 to 30. The group will reconvene June 4 for further action.

Eagles Initiate 20 Members in Mother's Day Class
The Elyria Aerie No 431 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles initiated twenty new members in the Mother's Day class. The Elyria Degree team led by Robert Jenson conducted the degree work. William France reported on the District convention and initiation at Amherst. Seven Elyria members joined at this meeting. The Lodge year ends with June meetings and new officers to be installed. A fish fry hosted by Trustees Jacobs Minkie and Cashman followed.
