High speed armed motor boats built for unnamed power
London May 25. High speed armed motor boats are being built for an unnamed foreign power, says a spokesman for Jobo Thornycroft Co. Two similar boats already delivered to the Dutch East Indies under the Dutch flag are an improved development of coastal craft first used in the war. The buyers’ name remains undisclosed. The boats measure fifty five feet, weigh under fifteen tons loaded, and are powered by two 375 horsepower engines capable of about thirty eight knots.
