Lava from Kilauea entered the 815 acre site, prompting cooling of ten wells to counter volcanic steam. Officials say all wells are now stable while monitoring gases and considering evacuation thresholds. Puna Geothermal Venture, owned by Ormat Technologies, produced up to 38 megawatts.
