The City of Elyria adopts an ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to collect funds from cemetery burials in Brookdale for perpetual care. It pledges the city’s faith and credit to maintain a permanent fund, paying income semi annually to the director for care, with quarterly reports to Council and a $1000 bond requirement. The fund named is The Brookdale Cemetery Permanent Maintenance Fund, effective upon passage.
