Vermilion Memorial Day Events Include Blessing of the Fleet
Vermilion hosts multiple Memorial Day ceremonies starting with two veteran dedications at 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., a parade at 10:30 a.m. and a 11:00 a.m. ceremony at Victory Park. Vermilion Yacht Club marks its 84th blessing of the fleet with a 12:30 p.m. gathering, clergy blessings, and a post-service hot dog lunch. Summer hours begin for Lorain Historical Society with Moore House and Carnegie Center tours 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays.
