A Fragmented Day in New York with Public Notices and Stars

Diary style entries recount a May 23, New York scene with John McCormack photo, a rebuke from Bob Davis, and a stroll with Ida Verdon at Inspiration Point. The piece wanders through a horologist visit, a dinner at Panl Whitman's, theater, and social chatter about Mayor Walker, crime, and real estate. It notes Meighan with a wig mystery, stock market banter, laughter over bank signs, and a sense of bustling urban life amid casual social notices and local arrivals.
