Nagy seeks outside judge to rule on $1,560 salary dispute

In Elyria, former municipal court judge Stephen R. Nagy asks for an external judge to decide if the city and county owe him $1,560 in 1985 pay. A pre trial conference eyed Nagy stepping aside from the case as he argues for a fair outside hearing. He contends the order for extra pay was improper and should be settled by an appeals court, not a city official. The matter involves Nagy’s claim that he was entitled to $1,500 in additional compensation as presiding judge during his term.
