Boat dispute ends in stabbing death near Lorain man
A Lakewood man is charged with aggravated murder after a dispute over parking a boat on a shared driveway last Friday night. Marc R. Jones, 33, formerly of Lorain, was stabbed five times and died at the scene. The 28-year-old neighbor, unnamed pending arraignment, was jailed and to be arraigned in Lakewood Municipal Court. Police say the fight began when Jones refused the neighbor’s new boat in the driveway and escalated after officers left thinking the matter settled. Jones’ funeral arrangements are set in Lorain, with services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Susan, his parents Homer and Grace, and a brother, Paul Roger.
