Zenkel Walsh Win Life Master Women Pairs Bid Slam in Hearts
Sabine Zenkel and Rhoda Walsh won last November's Life Master Women’s Pairs and reached a small slam in six hearts today. North opened three diamonds as a jump reverse, invited game, then North-South saw a favorable path after the club and heart sequence. Despite East’s bad breaks, the small slam proved excellent on a normal 3-2 trump split with favorable defense.
