Graber Will Be Honored For Long Service To Eagles
A. R. Graber, longtime secretary of Elyria Aerie No. 431, Fraternal Order of Eagles, will receive special recognition at a Thursday evening ceremony at the Elyria Eagles Temple. Graber retires next month after 40 years in the post and has deep roots in Wooster. He and Barbara Brandt married in 1909, and he later moved to Elyria where he worked 42 years at National Tube before retirement.

Condition Of John Jezewski Is Satisfactory
John Jezewski 18 of 238 Wooster Street is reported in satisfactory condition at Somerset Community Hospital after a car crash near Somerset Pennsylvania. The accident left driver Charles Bodnar 19 dead as their vehicle struck a concrete abutment seven miles east of Somerset while on a vacation trip to New York. Jezewski was unconscious for hours but regained awareness and is under care of Dr. M J Korns.

Carpenters Vote to Strike in Lorain Tomorrow
Members of the Lake Erie District Council of Carpenters meet at the Saxon Club in Lorain voted overwhelmingly to strike effective Wednesday morning after bargaining with the Lorain County General Contractors and Home Builders associations. They demand a 20 cent per hour wage increase raising pay to 3.00 dollars per hour, while the best offer so far is 12 1/2 cents to 2.92 dollars and 45 cents per hour.

The body of Charles Michael Bodnar 19 killed near Somerset Pennsylvania has been returned to Elyria. He worked for Robert E Lee Construction and coached the Pony League baseball team. team members will be pallbearers. Funeral Thursday at 9 am from Bittner Funeral Home and 9 30 am from St Marys Church with Rev John Neary officiating. Burial in St Marys Cemetery. He is survived by his parents Mr and Mrs Michael Bodnar two sisters Suzanne and Judith and grandparents Mr and Mrs John Duffy. A rosary is set for Wednesday at 8 pm at the funeral home.

James Willis Thomas 24 of Oberlin Groveland street pled guilty to burglary of an inhabited dwelling at night. Judge D A Cook gave a five to 30 year term in the Ohio penitentiary with mercy recommended. He broke into Don Robinson’s Oberlin home on March 15 while on Michigan parole. the 15 year old girl and her cousin fled and police captured him about 20 minutes later.
