Wenner Aims Major Change at Rock Hall of Fame
Jann Wenner Rolling Stone publisher and Rock Hall board member seeks to overhaul the museum by reducing temporary exhibits and expanding the permanent collection. The plan would relocate the permanent artifacts to the main hall, preserving one area for large temporary shows in the former Hall of Fame chamber. Wenner opposes a rap focused exhibit, while curator James Henke supports a broader, enduring collection.

State workers in Ohio face lodging caps and travel rules
CT state workers in Ohio are limited to 60 per night for lodging while out of state travelers rely on boss judgment. High nightly rates 300 and up helped push out of state travel costs up over 2 percent last year for the treasurer's office and Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Treasurer Ken Blackwell questions 300-a-night rooms but cites out-of-state travel aiding new computer systems and budget cuts. Bureau spokesman Jim Samuel cites an 8.5 million surplus from efficiencies and notes outside fraud investigations saved 23 million in 1997, six times the bureau travel tab of 358,000.
