Dynamited house ties Sacco and Vanzetti case to killer
Richmond may 18. The home of Robert Elliott who operated the switch at the executions of Sacco and Vanzetti was dynamited injuring Elliott’s family. Two bombs exploded within seconds, one on the front porch and one on the rear. Officials ponder motives whether fanatic friends of the victims or relatives were involved. Elliott, New York Massachusetts and Pennsylvania official executioner, had recently handled Ruth Snyder and Henry Judd Gray’s death. The first blast occurred shortly after 2 am. Also noted is a distant remark about Niagara sized cataract on the Hamilton river capable of producing over 4 300 000 horsepower.
