Avon May 16 A large crowd attended the final meeting of the Avon Parent-Teachers Association in the school auditorium. Treasurer and secretary reports were approved. P T A president Mrs Pickering received a large chrysanthemum plant. Grade children presented a program with junior orchestra, gymnastics, songs, saxophone solos by Donald Pickering and Alfred Gould, piano by Betty Jane Horn, an overall drill, a May pole drill, and open classroom inspections. Lotus club members enjoyed a Monday evening at Miss Laura Wilford’s home with card contests and music.
