Diewald and Hall Couples Celebrate Milestone Weddings
Diewald Earl and Violet Diewald of Elyria mark 60 years of marriage after tying the knot April 29, 1944. Earl, a Ridge Tool Co. retiree and World War II veteran, and Violet, a former Robert Hall Clothes and General Industries employee, have two daughters and several grandchildren. Separately, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hall of Elyria observe 50 years of marriage after a 1954 wedding in Wise Virginia, with Hall a former Ford employee and Violet a longtime Elyria City Schools teacher. The Halls belong to Lorain Baptist Church and have three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

John and Mrs. Heck of Elyria marked their 40th anniversary after marrying April 25, 1964 in Morgantown West Virginia. He retired from the Avon Lake Ford plant in 2001 after 32 years and she from Elyria City Schools as a bus driver for 15 years. They have 11 grandchildren and celebrated with a dinner at O Malley s of Rockliffe in Lakewood.
