Frank Sinatra, famed romantic pop icon and Rat Pack member, died of a heart attack at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at 10:50 p.m. He had been hospitalized earlier after unspecified distress and was 82. A private funeral was planned and many entertainers and family members paid tribute.

Columbia High Student Arrested For Pellet Gun Threat
A 16 year old Columbia High student brought a pellet gun to a baseball game and threatened to use it on others. Deputies said he showed the pellet gun and claimed he faced bullying at school. He was charged with juvenile counts of carrying a concealed weapon and inducing panic and is held at the county detention home.
