EMH Regional Medical Center reports net operating income for 2008 fell by over 1 million dollars from 2007 and over 2.5 million from 2006. COO Jim Simone cites unpaid bills as a major factor with uncompensated care at 28.2 million in 2008, up from 14.5 million in 2004, though much funds patient care.
