Nurse charged in killing patient with bagel

Cleveland authorities indict unlicensed nurse Wanda Kanner on murder and related counts for feeding a bagel with cream cheese to Darlene Amberik who could not swallow solid food. The crime, linked to an affair with John Amberik, is tied to false insurance bills and a suspected motive of financial strain. John Amberik, 52, faces theft and tampering charges. he is not charged in the death.

Man charged in student death needs observation

Biswanath Halder, 62, charged with aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder for a Case Western Reserve shooting, is to be held without bond and placed under medical psychiatric observation per a public defender.
