Best friends Randi Schmidt and Makenna Good along with Sam Goad formed The Animal Team to raise funds for animal shelters. They craft items to sell at Belden United Methodist Church and have donated nearly $600 to aid local dogs and cats, with future plans to help foster families.

Midview North Elementary teacher Leah Solomon and her kindergarten class collected coins and small bills in a week long change war. The effort raised 1587.55 dollars to aid Ruth Wuensch after a March barn fire that destroyed her hay, goats, and barn, delivering a hopeful message to the farmer and students.

Street incidents and neighbor disputes in local area
On Saturday May 7 a motorist reported items being thrown from a vehicle including a watermelon on Foster Road. On May 10 a man reported threats between neighbor children at school and nearby. May 5 to May 9 notes include a neighbor burning a fire, a vehicle egged, a raccoon trap catching a cat, and a 12 year old girl in an argument with her mother.
