Skipper testifies on two deaths and dog in lifeboat
Cyril LaBrecque testified he tried twice to lift Hap the labrador from a lifeboat to make room for three crewmen after their yacht sank off Atlantic City on January 28 1974. His wife disputes his account saying he never attempted to remove the dog while others in the water pleaded to be saved. The trial concerns manslaughter and improper nautical conduct.
