In Zanesville on May 13 Miss Hazel Beall of Roseville died from burns suffered when her clothing caught fire at an open grate three weeks earlier.

Elyria mourns Wis Selhe M Hull a longtime temperance worker as funeral services at the First ME Church drew prominent Ohio WCTU figures including Mrs Florence D Richard who gave a tribute. Hull headed the state WCTU board of trustees and was widely known for her temperance and prohibition work across Ohio. The city hall flag drooped to half mast as Dr E J Bond prepared to deliver the funeral sermon.
Ohio road construction funds are curtailed as transfers to the general fund and relief diversions reduce the highway budget. Highway Director O W Merrell says about 3.5 million dollars will be redirected, leaving an estimated 3.6 million for 1933 maintenance and flood damage repairs.

Memorial hospital authorities reported that Richard Taylor a child of 615 East Broad Street was somewhat improved today. Richard was accidentally shot through the abdomen last Monday by a playmate who was examining a revolver.
John Minter of Flyria was bound over to the grand jury on a $360 bond after arraignment before Justice Joseph Petro for pointing firearms at Sol Mende.
