Columbus Ohio May 12 A thorough search of soldiers inside the Ohio Penitentiary by the Intelligence Department under Captain N O Whiting was ordered by Colonel Haubrichn today. The move followed reports a New York newspaper man was inside possibly as a soldier on a forced pass for stories exposing prison methods. Reporters have been denied admission since April 29 when guards fired on White City prisoners. Haubrichn has allowed limited photography and inspection trips. He disclosed that more than 200 heavy iron clubs were inside the pen.
