Sight 54 Bird Species Along The River Trail
The Elyria Audubon outpost for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History logged 54 species and 56 observers during a 7:30 to 9 a.m. bird walk at Ely Woods. Six guides led the stroll as migratory activity slowed under a cold wave, with 11 warbler species including a new year bird the little chestnut sided warbler. Observers also noted red eyed Towhee, gray cheeked thrush, Cooper's Hawk, Scarlet Tanager, Wood Thrush nesting, and a flicker in a tree cavity. The museum projected a stronger Sunday showing if warm weather returns.

Estimating Laundry Load by Weighing Sheets
A practical method to judge a washer load is to weigh the sheets listed as capacity by the manufacturer. Then weigh similar dry clothes for soaking or washing. After a couple of washings you can estimate remaining loads without weighing each time.
