Aftershock Quake Shakes Mexico Coast and Capital
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck southern Guerrero near Tecpan de Galeana and was felt as far as Mexico City. No injuries were reported. A damaged elevated road near Tecpan disrupted the Acapulco to Zihuatanejo corridor, with heavy rains complicating rescue efforts. The USGS classed it as an aftershock in the Guerrero Seismic Gap, not an abnormal event.
