Woman abducted, shot, left with severed spinal cord
The 43 year old woman hiking in the Carlisle Reservation Tuesday was abducted by 25 year old Matthew Plas who fired once into her back and stuffed her in a trunk. Plas is jailed without bail on kidnapping and attempted murder charges. The victim remains in fair condition at MetroHealth Medical Center as investigators seek details of the assault and weapon.
