Berlin far right rally blocked by police near Brandenburg Gate
About 3,000 supporters of Germany's National Democratic Party gathered at Alexanderplatz to protest the "cult of guilt" after World War I but were prevented from marching through downtown Berlin by thousands of police. Police reported no clashes as 4,000 opponents moved to block the route and a Day of Democracy was held near the Brandenburg Gate with leaders and about 10,000 spectators. President Koehler warned neo-Nazis have no chance in Germany today and urged memory of Nazi crimes to prevent a repeat. The NPD had hoped to march to the Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust memorial but was restricted by a new ban on gatherings insulting Nazi victims.

Fake certificates and tent camps spread in Kiev during Ukraine unrest
In Kiev a market for fake revolutionary certificates emerges as hawkers sell doctored papers bearing Yushchenko signatures to claim veteran status. Meanwhile many protest camps sprout in cities, echoing last year’s Orange Revolution as Taras Chornovil notes the springlike decor of tent cities. Eurovision visitors are invited to stay at Euro camp to relive or glimpse the upheaval, with organizers aiming to recreate the revolutionary atmosphere for tourists and returning fans alike.
