Rainy finale marks John B. Firestone Invitational at Black River
In Black River the John B. Firestone Invitational Track Meet finals were run in heavy rain, dampening spectator appeal due to absence of a medal queen presentation, while timing official Lyn Paladino kept umbrellas handy as coaches sheltered from showers. Local notices include tax details for Lorain County, a prom change at the high school, a district music program, a mothers club style show, a Buckeye Junior High public meeting on jetport sites, and upcoming country shows at Woody's Val-E-Vue Campgrounds with Dolly Parton on May 18 and Tom T Hall on June 15.
