Cleveland firm protests pact with Browns
A Cleveland development firm, Christopher Associates, protests a city plan to lease Municipal Stadium to the Cleveland Browns and a second developer. The firm claims its alternative would give the city 25 percent of stadium profits and at least $150,000 more annually, with modernization and a hotel complex included. Officials say they will study the proposal, which also outlines a $3 million modernization, a 16.3 million hotel project, and a 12 million parking garage, plus 710 million in improvements and new facilities.
