Jude Shultz age five from North Ridgeville joined Mandy Shultz and a parade of costumed youngsters for the Super Heroes to Kids in Ohio event in Elyria. The day featured heroes facing off against imaginary villains as planed activities unfolded downtown.
The Chronicle Telegram reports Elyria hosts an adventure for kids facing adversity at East Avenue headquarters. Actors portray Superman, Supergirl, and Lex Luthor with kryptonite and chains as Attorne y Tim Misny comments. Jude and other super kids intervene, ending with Luthor in handcuffs.

Elyria High senior Elna Wright who uses a wheelchair and is nonverbal received an unexpected prom night surprise when Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Cameron Erving agreed to be her date. Her mother said Elna previously attended dances with her late boyfriend Cody Wilson and had no prom date after being crowned homecoming queen.
