Lorain opens bids for naming rights at parks and Pipe Yard
Lorain City Council approves three ordinances to seek naming rights for Campana Park, The Pipe Yard, and new softball fields in the sports complex. The Campana name must be kept due to Pasquale Campana Sr., founder of P.C. Campana Inc., and upgrades totaled 5.2 million dollars with support from city and Lorain Schools alongside a 1.6 million grant. The Pipe Yard will be leased to the school district for 50 years with a possible 50-year renewal.

Elyria man gets six to eight years for gas station robbery
Jaden Pollard, 19, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business with firearms specifications in Lorain County Court.
