Motorcyclist Dies After Car Crosses Center Line on Route 611
James Fisher 63 of Lorain died in a crash in Sheffield when a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier crossed the center line on Route 611 west of Abbe Road about 3:15 p.m. He was wearing a helmet but suffered fatal injuries including a severed leg and crushed neck. Driver David Mumford 56 also of Lorain remained at the scene.

Kidnapping Survivor Found After Violent Car Trunk Dump
A woman was abducted, raped, and shot before being stuffed in a car trunk and dumped. Police continue to search for leads as she is treated for injuries and authorities pursue several suspects.
Woman shot and abducted as car chase ends in rescue
A 43 year old Carlisle Township woman was abducted from the Lorain County Metro Parks Carlisle Reservation. She was dumped behind a business along Oberlin-Elyria Road and found naked from the waist down and shot. Witness Lane Crittenden aided in the rescue along with Good Samaritans. The suspect, 25 year old Matthew Plas, is described as homeless. The pursuit reached speeds around 100 mph with the abducted woman clinging to an open car trunk. Authorities are investigating.

Rescue call as abducted woman found at river edge
Lane Crittenden of Elyria aided a rescue after spotting a woman partly out of a trunk near West and Kipton Nickel Plate roads. He chased a suspected abductor who fled in a car at high speed, but the vehicle was lost along Route 20.
