Shadow Wolves Track Smugglers On Arizona Mexican Border
Native American Shadow Wolves unit operates on the Tohono O'odham Nation to interdict marijuana smuggling from Mexico. The all-Native American team, including three women, uses sign cutting and tracking skills to locate indents, footprints, and signs of trafficking. Since 1972, they have seized tens of thousands of pounds of marijuana in a hotspot along the border.
