In Zanesville, 14 month old Bryant Scott survived a 30 foot fall down an elevator shaft from the third to first floor. He was in fair condition at Children's Hospital in Columbus with no broken bones. His mother Danelle Scott and two friends were in an empty downtown department store when he slipped away and fell. Firefighters said a 12 to 18 inch gap existed between gates and the shaft. The tenant on the third floor had given permission to search for old items.
