Sunny day flooding signals decades early sea rise along coast
NOAA and Yale Environment 360 note uneven sea level rise, with parts of the East Coast seeing about an inch per year. King tides reveal higher water, while sunny day flooding already affects some neighborhoods, threatening roads and infrastructure as sea levels rise faster than expected. Charleston logged 50 tidal flood days in 2016 versus 4 days fifty years earlier.
