Tornado Hits High Point Elementary. two dead, 95 injured
In Clearwater a tornado struck High Point Elementary School at 11:40 am, uprooting trees and tearing the roof. Twelve year old Matti Ramsey described glass and wood flying through classrooms and students trapped under debris as emergency crews worked. The dead were John Timothy Duval Jr. and Gary Staly, ages six and five. Denise Riley was rescued with minor injuries.
