Avon may approve sewer plan under state law
Avon city council could enact an ordinance to join the French Creek sewer system with partners or build its own system and put the measure to voters. The Ohio AG office says council has discretion to renact laws rejected by referendum, while OEPA seeks detailed sewer plans before deadlines. Mayor Hubbard says the city will respond to OEPA and avoid a potential court case for noncompliance.
