Grafton Bands Stage Evening Concert at Crile Hospital

At Crile Hospital Grafton ta Gtahide bands performed last evening under Hinkson-Hyselt Post 3341 sponsorship. Russell Peterson directed the Grafton La Grange groups presenting duets by Grafton girls, La Grange numbers, a sextette and a Bilmer comedy number. Encores extended the program past 8:30 PM with transport provided for Grafton and LaGrange participants and about 30 members of the auxiliary.

Trunk Deaths of Two Boys in Chicago Home

Post mortem held for Anthony Liczkowski eight and Chester Lesniewski nine found yesterday in a trunk in their attic. Missing since Monday, the youths were located by occupant Walter Stricula twenty. Bodies seated back to back, investigators suspect accidental death from lack of oxygen, trunk secured by old fashioned hasp.

Automobile destroyed by fire near Elyria on Route 87

A 1836 automobile owned by Robert A. Barnes of 213 Cascade Street was burned last midnight while Barnes drove toward Elyria on Route 87 about a mile south of Route 62. Carlisle firemen reported the blaze started from a gasoline line leak, following a call by Deputy Sheriff C. K. Back.

Lorain Man Joins USES Staff in Elyria

Donald A. Brown of Lorain has joined the Elyria United States Employment Service staff, replacing Raymond Bacon who moved to a position with General Motors in Syracuse. Bacon will attend a six week supervision course, Brown is a Navy veteran and former USES employee living on Second Street.

Former Elyria Resident Dies in Miami Florida

Former Elyria resident Mrs. Dolvert dies in Miami after several months illness. Born in Cleveland, she lived in Taylor for years and moved to Miami. Her husband Samuel died a year ago. She leaves sisters Mrs Wade Grabidllere and Mrs Leo Schnuelson of Sandusky and six brothers including Harry, Jack, Alex, David, Fred and Otis. Body to be brought to Cleveland for funeral services at Dewiack Funeral Home with Rabbi Brickner officiating. Burial in Cleveland.

Two Motorists Arrested For Reckless Driving

Two motorists faces reckless driving charges after incidents on city streets. Divorge Ho Sunth of Seeansl Street and Wille Crisp of Westavenue were fined ten dollars plus costs for speeds around ten and forty three miles per hour and minor safety violations, with court action recorded by Mayor A R Agate.

Seventeen Names Added To Ridgeville Registration List

Twenty seven names were added last month to the Lora County Selective Service Board No. 4 registration rolls at North Hidgeville. The new registrants are young men who turned 18 during April, with addresses including Avon Lake, North Olmsted, Elyria, and Avon. Driving under the influence fines and license suspension in Oberlin

Probation Granted in Burglary Case at Eaton Court

Walter Hunter 23 of Girard received probation from Judge Guy B. Findley after pleading guilty to burglary of the Russell Reisinger home in Eaton location over a year ago. He and two others, who had escaped from Grafton Prison Farm, allegedly received $300 and clothing. one co-defendant, Raymond Safran, is in the Ohio Penitentiary, others whereabouts unknown.
