Man pleads guilty to arson that killed two horses
Lorain man Michael Minnich pleaded guilty to arson breaking and entering and cruelty to animals for starting a fire that killed two horses at a pole barn on 13540 Cowley Road in Eaton Township. The blaze July 24 damaged a tractor and 100 bales of hay. Minnich faces up to 30 months in prison at sentencing by Judge Edward Zaleski. Shaffer has pleaded not guilty.
