Networks Still Striving For Olympic TV Rights
NBC offers to contribute 666 667 immediately upon bidding reopening for 1980 Lake Placid telecast rights. The plan, backed by Robert T. Howard, would pool 2 million upfront per ABC and CBS losses refunded if a deal is reached. ABC’s earlier 2 million deposit aids immediate operating funds.
