Defrocked pastor speaks at Oberlin about gay son wedding
Frank Schaefer defied the United Methodist Church by officiating his son's 2007 same sex wedding and was defrocked. Speaking at Oberlin College he described his son's fear and his own journey toward acceptance and LGBT advocacy. He shared that a federal ruling on same sex marriage in Ohio framed his message.
