James Grasso, owner of Recess Games in Great Northern Mall, says Free Comic Book Day raises publicity for comic stores but has little impact on actual comic book sales. The annual coast to coast event celebrates titles from X Men and Spider Man to Superman and Green Lantern.

Police in Cleveland have made three arrests in the beating death of 41 year old Charles Gooden Jr found partially clothed and partly in a trash can. A 23 year old woman and two men were arrested with Paris Moore facing aggravated murder charges and a May 9 preliminary hearing set.
