Ford resumes production at Avon Lake and six other plants
Ford Motor Co. restarted production Monday at seven plants including Avon Lake after fixing clutch mechanism problems in four speed rear wheel drive automatic transmissions. The shutdown idled about 15,000 workers with three Michigan plants, Norfolk Virginia and Cuautitlan Mexico facilities and the Kansas City plant also affected. Production was back to normal after the engineering fix.
