Arrest in Elyria After Auto Crash
A head on collision at Lake avenue and Lodi street yesterday led to the arrest of George Benko, 122 Bell avenue, for driving while intoxicated. He was fined 50 dollars, had his coats seized, and was suspended from driving for six months after appearing before Mayor A R Agate. The crash involved a car driven by Charles Hebebrand of Lorain and another driven by Ed Phipps of 237 Fifth Street, with damage to several vehicles including Mrs. Fred Hopkins's car. Also, Alphonsy Martin, 7, was bitten by a dog on West avenue near 23rd street while en route to Hamilton School, sustaining a laceration to his right thigh.
