Lindbergh Plane Declined for Sale in Wichita
The owner of the City of Wichita, E. A. Wadkins, refused Colonel Lindbergh’s offer to buy the aircraft used by Lindbergh and Anna Morrow in a Mexico City crash. He argued the plane’s value and public interest justify keeping it, with plans to use it for passenger rides after its Mexico return, while noting tax figures for public schools and auto bills.
