Lorain County appeals over Black River bridge funds injunction
Lorain county commissioners filed a supreme court appeal seeking review of a permanent injunction that halted a $2,199,000 Black River bridge project in Lorain and the associated bond issuance. The case stems from taxpayer Joseph Finegold’s suit after the county failed to sue. The board questions whether the 1925 code change overrides prior injunction authority while noting the project was voter-approved by a 10,075 to 8,797 margin.
