The Boston Congregationalist notes his thirty year church service and modest spirit as core to his life of duty. His mother is remembered in Elyria’s First Congregational Church.
Charles A Schiller of Lorain sues for divorce from Rhea Schiller married in Cleveland in 1921 alleging neglect and desertion last January. Mabel Cameron of Wellington seeks divorce from Peter Cameron on grounds of gross neglect and extreme cruelty with alimony and support claims.
The Lee Donnelly Co. of Lorain appeals to the common pleas on error after a Lorain municipal court verdict awarded Joseph Bernatowicz $64.45 in damages from an automobile accident.
President Coolidge ordered a U S embargo on arms shipments to Cuba as a Cuban revolution was expected to erupt momentarily. The move signals U S concern over rising instability in the Caribbean region.
Cleveland May 2 Detectives report a bomb exploded in the car of labor leader William O'Brien injuring him and John Nestor as stores on Euclid avenue were damaged. Nestor died within hours and O'Brien faced another operation. Police prepared for mass arrests of suspected labor and personal enemies of O'Brien.
The Board of Elections corrected a tabulation mistake in yesterday's official count. Ruth Fuller Stevens received 534 votes and Jim Armitage 502, electing Stevens. About 3,600 votes were cast in the county, with primary costs estimated at $7,500, roughly $2 per vote.

A committee of organization commanders was named to reconvene next Thursday at Legion hall to pursue the project.
Officers raided Otto Wolodo wzka at 1517 West Avenue after a stool pigeon procured a pint of raisin jack with marked money. The suspect denied sales but was tried in police court and fined $500 plus costs by Mayor Hinkson, then warned to cease liquor sales as surveillance continued.
